Firings at normal incidence of small steel projectiles (one single- wall and two double-wall designs) were conducted against simulated concrete targets. The purpose of the firings was to examine the possibly deleterious effects of a double wall on warhead impact survivability. The results indicate that a double wall should not reduce survivability provided that it is not allowed to extend into the primary failure zone for the warhead.
